Does God Ever Need to Do Teshuvah?

The non-Israelite prophet Bil’am says that “God is no man that he should lie, no human being that he should change his mind,” but in fact the God of the Bible and rabbinic literature sometimes does express regret and even remorse. What happens when it’s time for God to do teshuva? We will read a couple of midrashim from which we might, perhaps, pick up some pointers from a repentant divinity on how we too can do teshuva effectively.
